Pretty cool! I'm doing a study on mobile marketing and find your blog post very interesting.

I do believe that mobile will play great role especially in Asia pacific. So there are difference between the way mobile is perceived in the west and in Asia. In India, mobile technology is evolving and there are few companies that does great mobile campaigns like telibrahma, GroupM etc..

But we yet to see the growth of iPhone since its very expensive in India and Android has just arrived here...

Please keep on sharing your interesting insights.

Have a great year ahead.

Hey Rob
Yea they do have a couple but they are not as advanced as the one in your example. With apps like 'iStylist Makeover' and 'Hair Makeover' you can take a picture of yourself and adjust it's size, rotate it, maybe even cut out the background to make sure it fits alright with the different hairstyles. Then you just select different styles. Handy - they should have a big version at all hairdressers I reckon. But not sure how often I'd personally use it on a regular basis.

Ps- Love your new website design - coming along good :) Now you just have to put something together to actually go on it!

Have you heard of "augmented reality apps"? I reckon someone in the beauty industry could develop an augmented reality app that shows you what your hair would look like in a certain way. I.e. take a photo of your head, overlay a new haircut on you. Same thing with clothes...

See this for an example of it:
