Hi Maria - I'm really happy you enjoyed the post - and thanks for the comment as well! :)
I am the same - I have a few items that I've splurged on that I absolutely cherish. It would be interesting to see whether majority of the sales at luxury shops come from the many 'little folks' like us who buy once in a blue moon to reward ourselves or whether they have a small base of regular clients that buy things from them all the time. I suppose they would be like any other shop with 80/20 rule (where 80% of sales come from 20% of the customers). Good thought to ponder though when you think of some of the pricetags.

Hi there
I really enjoyed this read. To answer the question, the most lavish thing i have ever purchased was a chanel bag.
Thing is, I was about 24 at the time and zapped it onto the CC. Because these types of things are rare splurges for me, i always get 'worried' it may get damaged and so silly me doesn't always carry it (the bag was a limited edition furry number and im scared someones cigarette may inflame the poor thing).
I still feel special holding it though... and there is something about an expensive item that gives me a rush. Hence an element of happiness is fulfilled. But certainly not the deep sort xox
